I've read the 1-star review and I have to believe that being left handed is this reviewers issue. Really. This peeler is so fast and thorough I've bought 5 of them for friends.
What makes the Titan Peeler work well is that the blades are super sharp so it requires barely any effort. In fact I would suggest this peeler over an OXO any day.
I will admit I was a skeptical after seeing the ad, but found a report on Google that convinced me it was as good as it said. Bottom line: This summer, I'm the first to offer to make the potato salad.

I take a lot of flak for being a sucker for gadgets I see on TV, but this one has finally vindicated me! It's a true wonder and has cut down peeling time incredibly. My old peeler was so much work I would usually end up just grabbing a paring knife and finishing the job with that. This tool is literally effortless when it comes to peeling potatoes, etc. We canned a bunch of squash this fall (over abundance in the garden) and I was not looking forward to "cleaning" them and separating the squash from the skin. I tried the Titan and it even peeled thru the tough squash shell. I cannot rave enough about this tool. It's the best addition to the kitchen I've made in a long time.Customer Review: Best Ever

This is the best peeler! I love it! I am buying more for holiday gifts. Be careful- it is sharp and can cut your fingers. But, it's worth it because it peels butternut squash like it was an apple. These things are super sharp, I was quite surprised over all.
They seem plenty sturdy enough and so far have put up well with the abuse that I have given them.
I would highly recommend these, just watch your fingers.

The Titan Peeler is truly remarkable, but what I wasn't expecting is how cool the julienne tool would be! It is now one of my most treasured kitchen gadgets and I'm experimenting with julienning all kinds of things!
